Vancouver International Airport – A to B Connector Project, Canada

Vancouver International Airport is located on Sea Island in Richmond, 7.5 miles from Downtown Vancouver. It is the second busiest airport in Canada with 22.3 million passengers a year. The project involved the demolition of one of the oldest remaining parts of the original 1968-era domestic terminal and building a new four-level expanded facility. The works created improved passenger flow, new security and safety features, new amenities, shopping and food options. A new baggage system between the domestic and international areas allows for quicker baggage transport and less waiting for passengers

A major Canadian contractor engaged Systech to identify and review the delay events to its construction schedule and assess entitlement to an extension of time, avoidance of liquidated damages together with an evaluation of prolongation costs.

The Vancouver International Airport’s A-B Connector project had its official opening on Tuesday, January 13.
